The long week is over. I find myself very tired this week and I don't know why. Didn't get to play hockey on Thrusday night, family crisis came up. Those things are more important than hockey. I'm surprised to hear myself say that. It wasn't always like that, I remember playing 5 days a week and it still wasn't enough. Now I'm lucky to play once and I'm ok with is sometimes if I can't.
Our copy of Snow White arrived in the mail thrusday afternoon, Garrett and I sat down to watch it after Sean and Sandy left for class. I had always known the story, but never had seen the movie, so it was a first for me also. I think he really liked it, its all he has been talking about for 2 days, but it could have been the game that we found on the disk. We have only put in the first on for now, I wonder whats on the other.
Friday night brought an interesting meal. I don't think that we have gone out to dinner since Nick was born, we didn't go anywhere special, we were just going to Wal Mart to buy essentials like diapers, so we stopped at Denny's on the way. The boys were pretty good for the most part, they got to eat pancakes with candy stars on top of them. Very interesting meal. It just amazes me how our meals have changed since we have gotten married, we used to be able to go anywhere and do anything and now we find if we go out, its a loud place where they won't notice our children. I think they enjoyed getting out also. After dinner we made it to the store and bought diapers and also got Garrett his halloween costume. He want'ed to be a Thomas the Tank Engine train and now he is. We are still trying to get Sean to be the Lion that Garrett was when he was 2, but he is not going for it. He showed some interest in being a witch. It must be all the time that we have spent reading Harry Potter at bed time. We're trying to get through the book before the movie comes out. I don't know that I will finish reading the book if see the movie first.
After I go to sleep again, I have put in 3 hours already tonight, we are going to get up and get ready to go to the cider mill. This is becoming a production in itself. We are supposed be there at 10:00am or miss the hay ride. Which means that we have to leave our house no later then 8:30 so that we can get Nick to the In-Laws. I just hope it doesn't rain, its not supposed to but this is Michigan you know. I guess we will just see, its not raining now.
Wings won their game tonight, I really miss being able to sit down and watch a whole game. I think I got to see 2 goals and that was it. I often wonder if we spent too much money on this team, but if they can bring the cup home it will be worth it. By the way, if you are interested in Fantasy Hockey, we have started a league, I know the season has already started, but it sounds like something fun to do.
