Day Off

Friday came, what a busy day. I got to take Garrett to school and pick him up. He showed me things that he had done in class. I'm excited to see that he is happy with school, I know that won't last that long. After that we went to the Lionel Train Factory and took a tour of the place. It mostly consisted of seeing a short video and then playing with and watching the trains in their layout room. We had a blast. Sean was working all the trains that he could and Garrett and I were looking at the layout to see if there was anything we could do with ours. Sandy and I were so happy to drop the kids off with my parents so that we could go see the movie I have been waiting for. We got there a 1/2 hour early and we were just able to get seats. I hate to sit way up front, it makes me sick. So I went out and got food and came back to 4 kids under 8 sitting in front of us and acting as crazy as my 2. I guess that boys just never change. They were fine during the movie.

I know what they mean now by people who go to see movies that they read the book for. Even though they did a great job with this movie and I will probably go see it again in the theater, they left out things from the book and the bothered me, but I also understand that you can't have everything in there, the movie would have been 8 hours long. I guess that I wasn't the only person that wanted to see this movie this weekend, it took in 93.5 million dollars. Not bad, they will have it paid off in 2 weekends.

Saturday came and I went out and hung up our Christmas lights. I just seems too early, but I think I'm getting older and heard that is was going to snow this week and I didn't want to be doing it then, so I did it in 60 degree weather and now I can sit back and relax on Friday. That is usually the day that we do them. We are just not going to turn them on before Thanksgiving is over. It seems that Christmas is getting started earlier and earlier every year. For the most part the rest of the weekend was uneventful, Sandy's Grandma was taking to the hospital when she passed out at her Mothers house and just didn't wake up. She is back up now, but they don't know what happened with her. We are just keeping our fingers crossed.

Today is Monday and its been a bit crazy and the weather sucks, but there aren't a lot of people here because of the holiday this week. So I only have to get up for work for 2 more days, that's funny, before we had kids if I only had 2 more days to get up this week, it would be great, but now the boys get up at about 6:30 every morning, so I don't get to sleep in anymore. Oh well.....

Have a great one!
