Work has been busy this week. Monday night Sandy was nice enough to take the kids to her parents and I thought I would have the house to myself, but on Sunday night when we came home from my parents, I noticed that there was a string of lights out on the front of the house and so I decided that I would get it fixed before the kids come back, they are so very much into everyone's Christmas lights. So my quiet evening at home really wasn't but in the end it was for the children. They came home and I got to get them dressed for bed and read them books, so no rest for the weary. Tuesday night brought us to the photographer to get Nicholas's 6 month picture. I can't believe that next Monday he will be 6 months already. He has just started sitting up on his own and doing great at it. One day couldn't do it and the next just sitting on the floor playing with his toys. But back to the photographer, we got there about 6:15 and there was 3 groups ahead of us, not too bad they were running 2 cameras and we figured that we would only be about 20 minutes. I noticed that there was a name on the sheet at 4:08 that was going to be back at 7:00, but I thought for sure that we would be out of there before then. Well then this group walked in about 6:35, so we thought it was that group, but for some reason, they took these people before us and they took 8 million pictures of 2 kids that didn't smile and didn't really move into another position, they just kept changing the background. We assumed that they paid for the VIP plan and that is how they got ahead of us. I was unwilling to pay the $65 for that treatment, but in retrospect we should have. It was now 6:50 and of course the real 7:00 showed up and the girl who they were friends with works there, so she took them back, but she could get the girl to smile so they just sat there waiting for the other lady to stop so that she could come and take the picture, but never told the third girl that takes pictures that she wasn't doing anything back there and she could take ours, but finally the third girl could see that we were really getting pissed off and she came over and looked and then got our picture taken. Wednesday night was pretty uneventful.
Have a great one!
