Garrett wouldn't stop bugging me about the tree. I just wasn't ready to put it up yet. I finally got motivated to go to Home Depot and get some wood for the platform. I started building it around 2:30pm that day, it was a beautiful day outside, so I didn't mind taking my time. I was able to finish it before dinner at 5:00pm. Got it in the house, had dinner and then turned to the tree. I had to cut a lot off it and then it turns out that it was very crooked, so we took it in and out of the stand a couple of times, even after we got it into the house. We let it fall for 1/2 hour and I started working on the lights, all the time we were trying to get Nicholas to sleep so that we could have a hand free, but it was no good. I finally finished with the lights at about 10:00pm and Garrett was able to put the Ornament on the tree that he had been holding since 2:00pm. He then went to bed and I got to hold Nicholas for a while till he finally gave up and went to sleep.
