Present Cleanup

We have finished with Christmas, but the presents are still out, we can't seem to find a place for them. I have been working on finding my desk tonight, but that isn't going very well, I keep getting side tracked by the Internet. I got a note this week that my DSL carrier is no longer doing so, but Earthlink jumped in and said they would be more then happy to have me pay them for the same thing. One cool thing is that they are giving me 8 e-mail address, not that I will ever use them, but I will have them there. I get some web space too, so I can store some of my files up there.

Christmas was another wonderful stress time for me. Dinner at my parents on the eve. I spent almost an hour putting together a toy for Sean and Garrett only to have it fall out of the van and smash into pieces at 12:30 am. Garrett was asleep when we got home but Sandy felt that he should get the cookies out, so I woke him up and we couldn't get him to stay in his bedroom. He kept coming out to tell us that if we don't go to bed then Santa won't come. At 1:10am, Sandy decided to go in and sleep with him. I went and laid down in my bed and I was ready to spend the rest of the night there. Sandy came in at 2:00am and told me that we had to get started. We got back into bed about 2:45am. Sean came into our room at about 5:30, he went back to sleep. Nicholas woke up at his usual 7:00am, I brought him into bed and he was driving me nuts in about 10 mins so Sandy got up with him. I stayed in bed till about 8:00 and Nick's crying was driving me crazy. The boys weren't up yet. I kept making noise but Garrett wasn't biting. Finally about 9:00am he got up and we told him that no presents till Sean was up. That was 9:30. They had all their stuff opened by 9:45 and there I was putting things together again, Am I the only one or do you hate the ties that all toys seem to be strapped into the box with now. I have resorted to wire cutters, I got so tired of untwisting them. Garrett had gotten a computer game the night before from my parents so we played with that for about 2 hours. Sean was having fun with Garrett's new train. Nicholas was still crying, that only meant that I would have to take him to the doctor the next day. At about 3:00pm we went to Sandy's parents. It wasn't any less stressful over there. After dinner, which the kids didn't eat any, we opened presents and there I was again, putting things together. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and I love to see them happy, but damn it, does everything need to be put together? Can't they do it at the factory? At 6:33, Nick and I went into the bedroom to take a nap. A Christmas Story was on. I have to see that one at least once over Christmas. I also watched Miracle on 34th Street. That is one of my favorites.

The 26th brought the trip to the doctor, to just tell me that he is teething and that will be $10 please. Sandy will be returning stuff on Thursday, so we will sit around in our jammies for the day and do nothing, but watch TV and play will all our new toys. The boys got these leap-pad things from my parents and I found that I love playing with them.

Enough for now, Back to the desk!
