Getting up early and getting motivated to get pick up our tree with the Brunicardi's. We dropped Nick off at Grandma's house and I was happy to do it. I love the kid to death, but need a break from all the needing that he needs. I just don't remember the other boys needing this much. Sandy has told me that we are cutting down the tree today, but I would have a week before I put the tree up (10:30 am). We met the Brunicardi's and went to lunch. My favorite place, McDonalds. We were glad that we didn't have Nick with us, the temperature wasn't bad, but wind was making it very cold, and he wouldn't have done well in that. We got to the tree place and got on the hay ride to go out and cut down the tree. We were cruising along when all of a sudden we came to a stop. The tractor cleared a big metal plate, but the trailer didn't. Luckily I had my back to the tractor and didn't fall far, but some people came flying into us. We picked out a nice tree, it seemed like it was about 7 feet tall. Got it on the van and went back to the Brunicardi's. Garrett has announced that he would like to just go home and put the tree up today (2:30pm). I was told that I would have a week to work on the train table to get it ready before the tree would have to go on top of it. I wanted to run the wiring all underneath it this year. We were able to stay the rest of the evening and watch the Red Wings lose to NJ. Got home and unpacked the kids and the van and then got to the tree. I never realized how big it was till I tried to take it off, it almost killed me. I measured it and it was 9 feet, wow, that is a foot higher then the ceiling. I guess I will be cutting off a lot of this. The platform for the train was going to be 4 inches off the ground, so that would take more away from it.
