We had your ultrasound last week and they have moved your due date up from June 9th to June 1st. Mommy and I are having a hard time figuring out names for you. Garrett wants you to be a girl and he would like to call you Honey nut. I think he has been eating too many cheerios. Sean has no clue that mommy is even pregnant with you. After Sean's surgery in February, we are going to move him into Garrett's room. Then we can get your room ready for you. I'm still hoping for a girl, but if you are a boy, then I will be happy with that also.

Your mother went to the doctor today to hear about you. She was supposed to go yesterday but your father screwed that one up. Your brother Sean tried to screw up today's visit by getting sick in the car, but your mother fought through it and went anyway. Sean got to hear your heartbeat with mommy. The doctor says that your heart rate was 150, higher rates like this point to you being a girl. Boys have lower rates. But Sean was in the 140's and he's a boy, so who knows, only you. If you are a girl, your mother and I think we like Nicole for a name for you. This way I can call you Nikki. We will be starting on your room shortly, we just have to move Sean into Garrett's room. I think the two of them will like living together. That about it for now. Oh, the doctor did say that mommy was in her 25th week, so that gives you 15 more weeks. Could you take it easy on mommy, she keeps have contractions and I don't want you to come out before your done being cooked.

We got Garrett's room all set to accept Sean. We are going to move him in there this weekend and then we will start to work on your room. Mommy has bought your bumper pads, after weeks of searching the internet for them, so don't be hard on her about it. It was horrible for me not being able to get onto my computer as your mother searched. Your mother and I have talked about names and feel pretty sure about your name if your a girl, so if you could, would you just make it easy on us and be a girl?

Mommy went and saw the doctor last week and every thing looks good right now. We have moved your brothers into the same room, so you have a room for yourself now. We don't know what we are going to do with the room yet. I think we are going to wait to see what you are. We couldn't come up with something that was generic this time. I think that we are going do sail boats if you are a boy and daisies if you are a girl. I still think that you are going to be a girl.

Today your mommy told her best friend Grace Ann that we want her and her husband Mike to be your God parents. We received your wall paper yesterday and we don't know which one to put up. It is going to depend what you are, but we are getting into the home stretch, so it won't be too long now. I can picture myself hanging paper up in the room before we bring you home from the hospital. I still feel at this point that you will be girl.

I guess its better late then never to update this page. From the picture above you should have figured out that Nicholas was born on 6/3/01. I was a little bummed that Nick wasn't the girl that I expected, but I love him very much. It makes life easier, I don't have to buy all new clothes, even though I let Sandy get more. Nick is about 4 months old now and he is growing like a weed. He is growing the same way that Garrett grew, very plump and happy. He is rolling over now, which at first we thought was great, but now its annoying when he does it at 3:00am, it wakes him up and he will not go back to sleep till you roll him back over. I think we are also moving into the teeth stage.
