Wife Sick!

School and Hockey didn't happen last Thursday. Sandy got sick and that ended that night, but it was good, I got to sleep early and was already for the announcement about getting laid off. It seems that I'm ok at this point. We had a busy weekend, but didn't really do anything. Went to her parents on Friday night for dinner and to just chill out. It was ok. Saturday, we sat around all day. I was able to escape to go to the store and buy some stuff. I took Garrett and Sean with me and we had a blast, I allowed them both to get a hot wheels car. Like we don't have 500 of them already. Sunday was our big day. We got out of the house early and dropped Nick off at my parents, so we could go to the train show. The boys loved it for the most part, they could have spent their day sitting by the layouts, I like to shop around. I wasn't able to spend any money, but I did see some good deals and there were other things that I thought were over priced. We ended up buying a caboose bank for Nicholas. Now they all have some type of train bank. Garrett has a GG1, Sean a steam engine and now Nick has his caboose.

After we got home we spent some time working on my fathers old train set, trying to get it to work, but as my luck always has it, it didn't, Garrett was disappointed, so we will take it to the train store tonight to see if they can do anything with it. I set up his Thomas train and a couple of my accessories for lighting and he seemed to be fine with it. My basement is starting to look like plywood heaven. I should put them all together and make one big layout, but right now they are just all over the place with track on them. I need to get off my ass and paint the basement and then I could work on train tables for as long as I want, but that whole painting thing is holding me up.

Back to work and I have found out that I have a new boss that will be starting this week. It should be interesting to see how we work together, this is the first new boss that I have had in over 6 years, its kind of like starting over again. We will see though. I have talked to him on the phone a few times and he seems pretty cool.
