What happen to October?

I realized as I was updating the page today that I never put an entry in for October. I wonder how many loyal viewers I lost because of that.

Its feeling a lot like Christmas around here. I had some vacation time left that needed to be taken before the end of the year so I made the Thanksgiving holiday a very long weekend. I took Wednesday and Monday off. Its been very busy, not really a break at all. I had a goal to have a much better looking train table this year and its been a lot of work. After painting last weekend, Tuesday night we started put the track on the table and then I start my 3 day ordeal of putting all the wiring under the table. I spent about 12 hours on Wednesday working on it. Thursday I spent about 2 hours, had to go to relative for dinner and football that day. 4 hours on Friday, we went over friends to go and cut down our tree. We didn't get home till 11:00 and I was spent from working all the hours. So onto Saturday, started at 11:00 am and finally came out of the basement at 6:00 for dinner. Shortly after that we were ready to bring the board up. Wow, it has gotten heavy and I never realized how large it was. It didn't turn the corners very well on the stairs, but we managed to get it up and not hit any of the walls. Next I had to bring the tree in, let it drop it branches and I had to start stringing wire on it. At 10:30pm I was finally finished with the lights and we started put the ornaments on the tree. We were done about 11:30. It was very cold on Sunday morning, but something told me that I wanted to get the outside lights up. So I spent 3 hours in the cold and got those up, little windy, but no snow. We went shopping and then down to the wings game and that brought us to this morning. It is snowing and I'm sitting in the front window watching it and thinking I'm so glad I didn't put the lights off till today. I just need to work on the train stuff to get that going and I will work on that shortly. Then it will be Tuesday and I can relax and go back to work. I thought vacations were supposed to be relaxing? I don't remember the last one that was. It just gives me the opportunity to think about something other then work. Have a great day and if I can get to my desk computer today I will put up some of the pics from the tree cutting and the train table.

Have a great one!
