Drive and Park

It started yesterday on the way home. I was frustrated on the freeway, we were going anywhere from 5 to 25 and back again. So I got off to take the service drive, it usually moves between 40 and 60. You just have to stop at lights every now and then, and most days I can time them so I don’t have to stop. This day, wouldn’t you know there is a cop on there and decides he is going to lead us and we didn’t get over 40 and had to stop at every light. I don’t think I saved myself any time.

Driving back from Dearborn today I was in the right lane because I was getting off at the next exit and 3 cars were coming down the ramp from the previous exit. Don’t people understand that they are getting onto a freeway that is moving 70 MPH, which means they should be going 75 by the time they hit the bottom. You should always speed up to get in not slow down. As was the case with the 3 cars that were coming on. I had to jump on the brakes and slow myself down from 75 to 40. After I few choice words I moved onto my exit lane and few past them with a pleasant smile.

Which brings me to my office parking lot. Whoever designed this building and the parking lots never had any idea that Quicken Loans and us would be putting this many people into the building. I had to park in the lot of the next building over and walk in the 300 yards to get to the door. I would have been just as fast as parking at home and walking the 25 miles to work.

Oh I so do love to drive.
