Great Dinner

Last night we went to my Boss’s house for dinner and to meet his family. His kids are wonderful and I hope that mine can become as polite as his are. For now, I’m stuck with Spoiled, Bitchy kids. Garrett and Nick were pretty good. In fact, Nicholas created quite a bit of entertainment. Garrett was good till we wanted to leave and then he just whined about wanting food. But, my most embarrassment came out of my 3 year old. I understand that he fell asleep in the car and I offered to have him sit on my lap, but he just sat by the front door and whined. We had hopped that by dinner time, he would be better, but no such luck. We sat down for dinner and he started yelling I want to go home. Sandy lost it and took him outside to beat him to death. Not really! They had a long talk and he came in and sat at the table with us. He didn’t eat anything, but I knew he wouldn’t he had a pretty big lunch. 8 nuggets for a 3 year old is a lot. He then got off Sandy’s lap and was fine the rest of the night till he fell and split his lip open. Then he stated saying he wanted to go home again. At that point we all understood and he was very tired. So being that we always outstay our welcome, we packed up and went home.

Ed, thanks for having us over, the venison was great.

sounds like a typical dinner at our house. i don't even remember the last time we've had a calm, peaceful dinner with the kids... we've kinda given up on going to a "real" restaurant with the kids since we never know when our almost-two-year old will perform his infamous temper-tantrum. :(

Oh yeah, btdt. I feel for ya. Your family is welcome over to my madhouse for dinner anytime- I think our 3 year olds would get along famously. lol

Wouldn't you know - tonight those "wonderful" kids got into it at the dinner table. And they're 17 and almost 15, not 3! Perhaps I need company over more often so they'll put on their "company" manners!
