Has TV and the News changed the kindness that we show for our fellow Neighbors?

Not quite sure what you mean about that Tommy. Unless you mean are we less trusting of them and stuff because of all the bad things we hear about on the TV and news. In that case, I suppose we are a bit less kind, and trusting.

Out here in the sticks (Hamburg), everyone seems super-friendly. I've never lived in an area where everyone waved so much! It is a huge difference from the last place I lived - London. They wouldn't even look you in the eye on the train. They were too busy texting each other on their phones. And, I guess everyone there got fed up with all the weirdos.

Tommy, I think it all depends on where you live. I grew up in a small ass town in Iowa. To this day, the people in that town are as friendly as can be. Wave at total strangers driving by in their cars. Will stop to assist someone who is having car trouble. Always have a smile for a newcomer.

I live in a bigger city now and it is different. People are more cautious towards one another- not as friendly.

I don't really think it has anything to do with television programs or the news- just location. People in the bigger cities are subjected to more crime and violence than people in small towns therefore they tend to be less friendly and more hostile. People in small towns tend to be more sheltered from the outside world- they haven't been exposed to as much of the horror of the world as people in the big cities.

Anyway, that is how I see it. Everyone is different though- they treat people based on their own personal experiences in life.
