What a great weekend, I did nothing all weekend long except lay around on my ass. Sandy just loves it when I do this. Saturday, we went out to Garrett’s second soccer game. Its funny, I never thought that he was very fast at running, but he holds his own out there and seems to really like playing the game. He really gives it his all and for someone that never played the game before 3 weeks ago, I think he is doing very well. I guess playing games on the computer can help you play real sports. We have spent a lot of time playing FIFA 2002 on the computer and we are both getting pretty good at it. Sunday, we plugged all the controllers in and Garrett, Sean and I played on the same team. Its very hard to play like that, because every time you think you are going to get the ball it ends up that it goes to one of the other two. Needless to say, we lost both games that we played. Back to Garrett though, Saturday was his second game and they only had 4 players out of the 8 that you should have. Normal games are 5 on 5 (5th being the goalie), but they played 3 out and 1 in net on Saturday and did pretty good. Each player got to play a quarter in net. Garrett really does well in there, in his first game he only let 1 in and stopped about 7 shots. Saturday, he didn’t let any in on about 8 shots. I’m very proud of him. He has certainly surprised me. Saturday night we just laid around and watched movies, Sandy had to get up the next morning to go do her MS walk. She didn’t get back to the house till about 3:00pm on Sunday after leaving at 6:30 in the morning. As you can guess all we did was lay around, played computers, watched TV and made a huge mess in the house. I finally got off my ass about 4:30 and decided to go mow the lawn. The lawn that is half dead and I don’t know why, but I knew it was going to rain today and that it has. After mowing, we ate and then walked down to the park (just want Sandy needed, more walking). Garrett has this plane that you blow with air to control the prop, it flies pretty good, we have gotten it to fly for about 100 yards before. Sunday we weren’t so lucky, it was getting caught in cross winds and it would throw it to the ground. So that fun didn’t last long, but then they played on the climber for about a 1/2 hour and then we walked home. Baths and bed for them and I was so exhausted from laying around that I went to bed at 11:00. That’s rare for me. Now its work time.
Sorry for the rambling, I just had a lot on my mind and haven’t gotten it down on blog.
I had a test message from audblog on Saturday, I have decided to try it out for 3 months, It was only 9 bucks and I get 12 messages a month. So you may hear my voice from time to time, I would bet mostly from the car. That is when I really do a lot of blog thinking and never have anywhere to put it. Let me know what you think and if you can’t stand my voice let me know.
Thanks and have a great day, hope I didn’t kill you with the length.

Kids soccer games can be funny. Busy Boy's team would be dangerous if they actually shot at the goal! Busy Girl likes playing goalie, too. However, I think it's becasue you get to spend a minimum of physical energy and still play!
She plays offense, too, though. She fell down in the game and scraped (barely)her hand, so now she is sporting an athletic tape bandage and telling everyone about her "soccer injury".

soccer's great. glad to hear Garrett is enjoying the game. interesting that you mentioned that the video game helps with playing the real thing. maybe i can use that 'angle' to convince my wife into letting me get a playstation2 system. ;)
and i think the audblog is cool tom. you should definitely utilize the feature on your site. just curious... how big do the audio files get? like if your audio message ends up being 3 minutes long.... does that turn out to be around 3 MB in size?
