After bitching for another afternoon about our house and how the lady is never going to sell hers,Sandy told me that we would be looking for our own house in a week. We decided to reduce our price to $2,000 above her offer and low and behold, we got a call for a 2nd showing tomorrow. I guess the realtor has been watching our house and jumped on the chance. So if we get an offer from this person, we can light a fire under the original bidder, the second person can’t get the house unless 72 hours comes up or the first buyer decided to back out. Let’s hope some good comes out of this.

Good luck Tommy. I hope this is the one.
There are these real estate "chains" in the UK, where all the buyers and sellers are linked buy the precedent that all the parts in the "chain" of buyers and sellers have to fall in line, and the deals have to go through, or else everyone's deal falls apart. It is legal, and happens all the time. But in your case, count your blessings that you only have a few links to come together for you to be in your new home. I know this has been a pain for you guys, so I wish you Godspeed!
