Today marks 9 years since we got married. I can’t believe how fast the time has flown by. I had lunch with my father and a couple of his friends and my father hitting on the waitress as he always does, but for once I think she was interested in me. Told her that today I had been married for 9 blissful years and one my dad’s buddies turned to me and said and how many havn’t been blissful? It was kind of funny. Lunch with them is always a wife bashing session. I like to go for the free lunch, I usually just keep my mouth shut and take in all they have to say, its like going to a comedian show.
So you ask what did I get here? A new house and 3 weeks of working on it so far. I did get her a new butter dish, but I don’t know if that counts, it was to replace the one that I broke when we moved. The discontinued our pattern last year, so I had a little trouble finding it, but finally did and she was happy about it. I thought I should get it soon after she melted the plastic bowl in the microwave making butter for popcorn the other night.
Tonight, we are going out to dinner, and then back to the house to pack for FLA, hang up some curtains/blinds in our bedroom, haul the old carpet out to the curb for the garbage man and the rest of the garbage for him. He will be so happy when we are done unpacking and working on the house. We have so much shit every week for him.
Then Its 1/2 day of work and driving all over hell to get to our flight that leaves at 6:00pm for 5 wonderful days away from work of all kind except kids, but it will be nice to get in touch with them again, we have pushed them to the side so much lately with all this house stuff.
If you don’t hear from me tomorrow, have a great next 5 days and I will see you next week.
