Busy, Busy, Busy

Friday I got the day off per say. I went and worked some community service with my fellow co-workers. Every year they have this thing called Festival of Trees. There were many jobs to do, but I got to unload the trucks and bring the trees in to setup. Hauling stuff around was good for me. It was a nice day, so I didn’t mind sitting out on the loading dock.

Saturday morning we got up and went to see the Cat in the Hat. I loved it and the kids enjoyed it and I was glad that they were as young as they were so they didn’t pick up on all the sexual innuendos that were in there. After the movie, I went to my neighbor Ben’s to watch Michigan beat Ohio State. After that we old farts played football with the 12 year olds. It was fun, but two days later, I’m still feeling it.

Sunday brought us to the Cub Scout field trip to Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum. All my life growing up, this place was within 4 miles of my house and I never went there. Now that I’m 40 miles away from it, we go. We left the 2 younger ones with my parents, they still live there and went in. Its and arcade, but its more then that. It has games all the way back to the 1800’s. It was pretty amazing to see all the different games and to see how they have evolved over the years. I got to play my favorite game, Galaga. After that we went back to my parents for lunch and naps while the Lions lost again. Got home last night hung around and I got to go through email and do my memes that I have missed for 3 days.

Today starts the painting that Sandy wanted done last week. I took today and tomorrow off to get it done. So if you don’t hear from me again till Wednesday, you will know why. Hope you all have a wonderful short week and I will talk to you later.

You must live near me. I go with Critter and my parents every year to the Festival of Trees! How is the new venue? It's so much closer to my house than Cobo Hall was.
