Wow what a weekend. Sandy finally came home from shopping at 4:30 and I got to go out and get the electrical stuff that I needed. In the course I got rear end and I got the ticket for it. I can win when it comes to tickets. I think he could have been a little more lenient with me. I swerved to miss a car from hitting me head on, only to be rear ended by the guy that was on my ass. Oh well, off to court I go.
Saturday brought the yearly outing to cut down the tree, but before that I woke up in the morning and decided that I wanted to wire all the lights in the basement to one switch and nothing ever goes the way that you want it to, but I did finish it on Saturday. We met our friends at the cider mill and got our saws and hoped on the hay ride out to the forest of trees. We found a tree in 5 minuets and it has got to be the fattest tree that I have ever had. I will get pictures up. We went home, had dinner and got the tree in the stand and let it fall.
On Sunday, I got up and started stringing lights on the tree. After throwing out 3 strands because they didn’t work, I was able to get 5 100 foot strands to work together on the tree and it looked great. Then it was on to the outside. Being the first year in the new house I had no design for it, so I spent some more time looking at the house and coming up with something good. I started working on the lights outside at 2:30 and after 2 trips to the store I had completed what I thought was a pretty good layout. Sandy came out and asked about 2 other sections and why they weren’t done. It was 9:30 at this point. I just love wives they are never happy with what you come up with, but they don’t do it their selves, so we do what we think they will like and then keep changing it till they are happy.
To get me in the spirit (and believe me it was hard, I’m very tired) I watched Miracle on 34th street and Its a wonderful life. I bought both of these for Sandy for Christmas one year and it ends up that I watch them more. The first one I watched while I was stringing the tree and the later I watched when I finally got to sit down at 10:30 last night.
I’m so glad to be back at work, so I can relax somewhat. Hope your weekend went well.
Did you go anything Christmas related?

We've never put lights on the house...too lazy I think. We also can't have a real tree due to the daughter's allergies.

No lights on our house either, we don't have that much Christmas spirit. A lot of work for a month LOL
I managed to get the Christmas shopping done this weekend! Now I just have to finish wrapping.

Yikes! Be careful with that ticket thing. Similar thing happened to hubby last year and the chick who caused the accident tried to sue him for medical bills, pain and suffering, yada yada lie lie lie. Needless to say, THAT was dismissed.
