Its been a long week back to work. I woke up this morning thinking god its finally Friday, but I thought it would never come after the excitement of monday.
Its also not been a good week for sleep in our house. Kids are feeling well, so they wake up and cry all night long. San has been a saint and dealt with them most (all) of the time till this morning, Nicholas yelled out and she said can you deal with him please and I said sure, so I yelled back “Nick what do you want?” he says “Mommy” and I say “She is sleeping” and he says “Oh” and then we all roll over and go back to sleep. So this begs the question do babies think we are awake 24 hours a day to service them whenever they need it. It was kind of like oh mom is asleep, then I will go back to sleep and leave it at that. Mind you he is not 6 months old, he is 2 1/2 so he has seen is for a couple of years now.
Another funny this morning. I went in to wake up the middle child (Sean). I said how is my favorite baby this morning (don’t tell the other two)? And he says “good” and I said “Mommy would like you to get up now and have breakfast” and he says “Not at the moment, later, I’m sleeping” and I said “You can’t be sleeping you are talking to me” and he said “Then I will stop” and he rolled over again. I got him out of bed 5 minutes later with the offer of a free piggy back ride to the table. They will always jump at those, I hope, but it got the 6 year old out of bed also, so I know I have a few more years with Sean.
