I put a lot of thought into this one this week. Status to me means material things, the car you drive, the house you live, the position that you hold at work. But I think the greatest status is the one that my father has attained. He is the best parent any kid could ever ask for and he loves and does anything for his 7 grandchildren. He never needed the fancy car (though he has one now), the fancy house (it really isn’t that fancy, its homey) and he works for himself so that he can do whatever he wants to when he wants to. I hope to have his status some day. Here is a pic of him, my mom and the boys.

Status to me is completely different... it is how you are viewed by your community. If you are respected, if your opinion and your word count for something. It never has anything to do with house, car, or job.
Isn't that funny how people hear the same word and get completely different contexts for it.

That is a wonderful picture, one that will mean a lot to your boys when they are grown.
