Well I know that my son is mine. I could see the look on his face, it was the same as mine when I was his age. His car ran in 3 heats and then it was done. He came in 5th out of 6 cars for the tiger cub. Everyone thought it looked great, but looks don’t win races. On a positive note though, the two tiger cubs that came in first and second for the tigers, also beat out everyone else and came in 1st and 2nd over all. So I just told Garrett that we got beat by the best two cars in the pack. He felt a little better and has started working on another design for next year. God help me. I really wanted him to win or at least place. I hated losing every year. Oh well, there is always next year. I think I need to get a tabletop scroll saw.

My heart goes out to Garrett- and to you. It's so hard to watch our kids be disappointed. (((hugs)))

Aw poor baby. Poor Tom too. Tell him we're still proud of him. Winning isn't everything.
