GWG

It was a tough week without internet access during the day, but for the most part I survived. When I got home last week, I had either baseball games to coach or soccer games to watch and I even start my hockey league last week, so it was long and then on Wednesday Nick started throwing up at 3:45 am and didn’t stop till 7:00pm that night, but he still isn’t back to his normal self, but we know that will happen at some point. Last night was the 3 game of our league and I have been trying to adjust to playing forward after all those years of playing defense. I did score the 3rd goal in our 3-2 win last night so I couldn’t be all that bad, well I could. But it sparked a funny communication with my sons this morning. Sean is my hockey kid, he knows teams, players, penalties and understands the game and the scores and of course knows what game winning goal means or at least I thought he did.

This morning:

Me (to Sean) - Daddy got the game winning goal last night in the game.
Sean - cool, what was the score?
Me - 3-2
Sean - So who won?
Me - Seannnnnyyyy
Then Garrett piped up.
Garrett (smacking Sean on the back of the head) - DADDY SCORED THE GAME WINNING GOAL!
Sean - Oh so you guys won.
Garrett and I - Yes!

All the years of being sarcastic to Garrett has worn off on him, he finally threw it back out at someone else.

On another note Sean got to visit the Kindergarten today and said that he enjoyed it very much and is looking forward to going in the fall. Thank God I was worried that he wouldn’t like it and we would have to fight with him going to school. But I don’t know if he realizes that he is going to have to ride the bus next year or not. At least Garrett will be with him.

Hope to be around more this week.
