As the gas prices have gone up another 5 cents this week, I think its going to be close to $4 a gallon, but the time we get to the end of summer here. I know that we are not paying as much as some people in other cities or nations, but when it cost me a $60 to fill up a tank of gas that just 4 years ago cost me $20, it makes me wonder what the hell is going on. I have been under the impression that we were fighting this stupid war over oil, but now I’m starting to wonder, I would have expected the prices to stay the same or go down. Its getting very crazy and I think its a time for a change in the Whitehouse and I’ve been a supporter of the Republicans for years.
This bitch was sparked by the pictures below that I received this morning.

You do pay more than me since we just pay about 1.80 per gallon here, but it's relative. This is a huge increase from what I paid before. I was just having the same conversation this weekend. I also thought the was was for oil and don't understand why gas prices are increasing instead of decreasing. I practically fainted when I saw the person before us had paid $55 to fill the gastank. I'm glad I drive a small car.

I say we start a protest. Everyone stays home from work, school, stores, etc. on the same day; EVERYONE! I'm sure it'll take more than one day but can you imagine the decrease in gas sales in just a day? We're currently paying $1.97 and I'm sure before Memorial Day it'll be up to over $2.00 a gallon. Ridiculous! I guess I better buy a bike too!

Here in Toronto we are now paying 0.90 a litre which converts to about 3.40 a gallon! That's Canadian mind you but still, a lot of money for us!

We're at $1.85 in Houston for Regular. Premium is $2.05. What used to cost me $10 now costs me $20. I remember being 17 and having my new car and paying 93 cents. If you paid 97 cents, you were being robbed!
