Its been a long week from last Wednesday night when we found out that Sandy’s best friends sister passed away. She had been sick with every form of Cancer you could have for about 4 years now, plus she was suffering from MS. On one had it was very sad, but for most people they were happy for her, she is no longer suffering and her family is no longer suffering. There were lots of fights amongst her husband and the brothers and sisters and especially her mother. I hope that time will mend all those fences and the families can remember the best of times and not the last 6 months to a year when it was its worse. This woman touched many people in her life and it should be the turn out people at the 2 days in the Funeral home and the funeral itself. I think the processional was at least 2 miles long.
The rest of the weekend was spent, working in the yard, playing hockey, going to a Tiger’s game and laying around doing nothing.
We all had a blast at the Tiger’s game on Sunday even though they lost. This was Nick’s first game and he seemed to love it. At the end of the game kids 14 and under were allowed to run the bases, so we had to do that and it was great, we waited about an hour for our turn, but it was great to be able to touch the field where these great players play. Nick was great. I ran with him, so I didn’t get to see the other two, but they loved it and they were very fast. Nick made sure that he touched each base even though he had kids 3 to 4 times his size trying to run behind him. He even stopped to give the mascot a high five.
Monday, I laid on the couch most of the day as Sandy went shopping. I saw Eddie and the Cruisers II, The In-Laws and something else that I can’t think of right now.
Now its back to work and I had a renew spirit this morning, but this afternoon is starting to waver and I will have to find something else to do.
Hope you all had a great weekend.

Sorry about your friend. I know what you mean, though. Sometimes it's better for all. Sorry again.
