Last week sometime Garrett had said to me that he and the Neighbor boy wanted to start cutting lawns for money. He is 10 and Garrett is 7, so I laughed it off, they could see over the top of the mower anyway. But Garrett kept at it and yesterday we went out and I walked the whole front with him while he learned how to use the mower. I have become my dad. I remember every other word was keep it straight or your missing grass. God help me, it never bothered me when the lines weren’t straight on my fathers lawn, so why does it make a difference now? Now I understand his yelling at me all those years. Sorry Dad!

You have a great lawn, don't worry about that. Straight lines or not, you lawn will always be nice. I don't think Garrett is old enough to grasp the "vanity" factor we all take for granted as we look at our yards. Having the right tennis shoes, or latest XBOX game, etc. - that will be the "keeping up with the Jones's" criteria he understands at his age.
