Last night we went to the first School Skating party of the year. They boys weren’t really interested last year, so we never went. They were really into this time. Sean, who wouldn’t skate in the spring when we went with the cub scouts, skated around 3 times before taking the skates off. Nick skated around once this time, but didn’t fight us about doing it. Garrett surprised me the most. He skated a couple of laps, maybe 5 last time and it seemed to take him the whole 2 hours to do it. This time he was skating all over the place and even went around many times. He was the only one that we had to make take his skates off. He was doing very well, but he has also asked me if he could get into Roller Hockey, so I think he was making a point of skating so I wouldn’t say no. But he made me really proud when I saw him out there skating with a girl from his class. He is like a little chip off the block, except he has more guts then me. I don’t remember skating with girls that much when we went with the school and I never skated till I was 10 and he is 3 years younger now. We all had fun though and that was the important thing. We met a few new families last night that live on our street at the other end. It was funny we had one whole section of the bleachers and they were all people from our street.
I had a horrible weekend with my 3 fantasy football teams. They all got beat after the great first week I had with the 2 and the 3rd one I just added this week. I hope to turn things around for next week, but its all up to the players I have on my team.
