What Real Games Were

I remember spending hours in front of the TV, moving a block back and forth and shooting aliens that moved back and forth in a line. Now my kids play games like EA Sports Hockey where the people look like the real people. They don’t know what it was like to play a real 2d game and they laugh when I talk about it. So I was really excited when I saw the article below about Atari bringing my past back out.

I used to love Atari so much - - I was the Pong Princess! Recently I saw where they are offering Atari game packs for Axion PDA - - it features seven games in all. I am going to have to get those or the one for television.

Have you seen the game box that plugs into your television called Namco 5 in 1. It features some of the great old games too and came out last year and runs about 30 dollars - - it is even done with a joystick :)

This is too cool! I'm gonna have to ask for one. man, the hours my buddies and I spent playing the Atari 2600 back in the day. I actually still have mine. But no switcher box to see if it still works.

I was never really into video games although I did play Pitfall and Pac-Man, of course. I know what you mean about the games now, though. I saw a commercial for one the other day and thought it was a movie preview. Wow.
