While posting a comment on: one lazy blonde: Now with 50% less lazy I was thinking I didn’t really say anything about our Saturday afternoon. It was rather warm here (35 degrees) so we dragged the kids against their will out to the sled hill to do some sledding. None of them wanted to go, but we told we did and they had to come. The baby fell asleep on the way there, so we knew he was going to be a pistol. The oldest hopped right of the car and got his sled and went down the hill. The middle child, he can be so sweet and those are the ones you have to watch out for, wanted nothing to do with it, so he sat in the van and watched us. We asked him to come out a couple of times and finally he locked the doors on us (its OK, we have a keypad on the door). Sandy finally had enough of him and ripped him out of the car and then jumped on a sled and made him go down the hill with her. After pouting for about 10 Min’s at the bottom of the hill, he came to the top and pouted for another 10 Min’s and then Garrett asked him if he wanted to race and he was fine again after that. The baby who I expected to be the worse was having the time of his life and he had the most fun when he tipped the sled over and fell out, which then prompted all of them to do it. A little off to our left was a small dropped off or so it appeared, Garrett had seen some kids go off it and thought it looked fun so he did that for a while and was loving it. Then he asked me to go with him and I thought sure. I know now why I’m 36 and not 10 anymore. We came over the top and the weight of us dropping to the next left made my back compress with so much pain, I haven’t walked upright without pain since then and yes I know I played whirlyball and hockey and they didn’t help the situation, but today I can’t stand it anymore. I’m going to the Chiropractor later to see if he get straight my back out to a point that I can stand up with the normal pain that I have in it.
At the end of sledding, Garrett came up to Sandy and said that he was glad that we made him do this, it was a blast and he couldn’t wait till we could go again. Sandy and I were exhausted from pulling them back up the hill. They are so lazy.
