This was the 2nd book in the Kidd series and I seem to be jumping around this series. I read the 4th one first and thought it was great. I love books about computers and hackers and figured that this one would be more of the same. It was to a point, but it was more about getting a corrupt government out of a city. What I thought was funny, but makes sense, was you got to know the characters in the 4th book and them come back to the 2nd and they are not all formed yet, so you kind of already knew where the story was going. I'm trying to jump back and read the 1st in the series before the 3rd, but its going to come down to which one gets back to the library first.
All and all I did like this book. I like the characters Kidd and Luellen and can't wait to read the other two books. One funny thing that struck me about this one over the 4th was how far technology has come from when he wrote this one and the 4th one. This one was about 486's and 300 baud modems where the 4th one was about highspeed access to the internet and how much you could do with that. I can't wait to see what the technology is like in the other 2 books.
