SK Interviewing Me!

This came from: B -

  1. (I had to use this one again since you are a dad) Children are our future. Does that scare you about today’s children, or do you think we’re in just as good/bad shape as our parents?
Our parents were afraid of us taking over and I’m afraid of my children taking over, but I may have the luxury of being dead before they take over, so that could be OK.

  2. What part does sports play in making a child well-rounded? Can the average child do well in both school work, and excel as an athlete? What does it take?
Being a sports nut and having a wife that is a academic, its an interesting scenario for our children. They will play sports but we also expect them to do well in school. I feel that playing sports will make them a more competitive student and they will strive to get those A’s. It didn’t work for me, but I just like playing sports and not really going to school. How do you accomplish both, you don’t overload your kids with too many sports at once.

  3. What is the weirdest thing that has been said to you in the last week, not by one of your children?
What have you been doing for 2 weeks.

  4. If money, work, family and friends were not relevant, where would you live if you could?
    Hawaii

  5. You mention that stay-at-home moms are rare these days. What benefits and problems did/does this create, in your opinion?
I think that mom’s that stay home spend more time with their kids and will allow them to be more rounded, not to mentioned more looked after. As soon as all of them are in school full days, I see no reason for the mother to not go back to work if that is what she wants to do. Does it work in our situation I don’t know, we both grew up with our mothers at home and just felt that was the way it was supposed to me. I would love to have more money and less bills, but we decided this before we had kids.
