Bleachers

by John Grisham
If you played football in High School, this book is for you. Its 3 days in the life of the All-American star Neely Crenshaw. He hadn't been back to his alma-mater in 15 years, but with the death of his coach nearing, he returned. He was seeing people for the first time that he hadn't seen in the long time and they were re-living the past. And the one night that they came back from a 31-0 halftime score to win the state championship.

As I was reading this, I felt that I have seen this in a movie or two. Two that come to mind are Varsity Blues and Remember The Titans. Its a very quick read, at only 150 pages, it took me 3 and 1/2 hours to read. Not bad for my reading speed. Its a good short story.
