Saturday afternoon, I was sitting all nice and comfy on the couch reading a book and watching the snow falling (yes in April), when Garrett came down and asked me to help him with a light in his bedroom. Apparently a bulb had burned out and he wanted his clamp on light moved so that he could teach his students (Nick and Sean). Hey they were leaving me alone, so it was nice that they were playing nice with each other. I went up and noticed the light was out and I was going to fix it when I tried to unscrew it, the base broke off and I had to get the pliers to pull it out. I no sooner got back into the room when I heard this between the boys.
Garrett: “Nick punch me”
Nick: “OK” smack.
Garrett: “Ouch, not with the hand that has the pencil in it.”
Nick: “Sorry”
Dad: “Its OK Nick, he asked for it”
Garrett: “I’m bleeding”
Dad: “Looks like he got you in the inside of your nose. It will be fine.”
I then went back to reading my book. I heard no more from them for a couple of hours.

I can leave my daughter alone to play and she isn't doing anything, but if my son is quiet, there is something wrong. I guess that's because he's still too young. In my house, it's the "It's too quiet" thing that is a warning.
