Susan Garret was driving to work one day when she had to veer to missed the backed up traffic on the exit ramp. The accident put her in a coma for 6 months and hilled her husband and daughter. When she awoke, she found that this was done by hackers and she vowed to catch the one responsible and any others she got on the way. After two years of hunting, she gets the man that killed her family convicted and decides that her life is over. Just before she pulls the trigger on the gun, the phone rings and its her boss. There is a new virus and its locking up all the PC's in the world for 20 secs.

As she tries to track down the origin of the virus she is introduced to an archaeologist that is very familiar with the culture of the ancient group that used to live where the origin of the virus is coming from. As the days pass, she is also finding that the lock up is lasting one less second everyday. Kind of like a count down that is set to end at GMT 0 at midnight on 01-01-00.

This was the second book that I have read by this R.J. Pineiro and I thought it was pretty good, it had a very interesting ending and its well worth reading to find out what that was.
