Valhalla Rising

by Clive Cussler
Dirk Pitt is supposed to be this smart, tough guy and here I was this morning listening to the last couple tracks of this book crying on my way to work. I know I'm a wimp, I cry at a lot of movies, there is a sensitive side in me every now and then. Well the story goes that he loved this woman a long time ago but she was killed when he was trying to save her, but it turns out that that wasn't the case, but he never saw her again, till his twin children show up at his doorstep at the age of 23. He finds out that she did lived and that she raised both of his children without him knowing it till she died and let them know who there father was and that she wanted them to be with him.

As for the story, It centers on a corporation that is trying to create a monopoly North American oil companies to try and be the sole supplier of oil to North America. In this book, Pitt learns of Vikings and how they settled in New York, learns who Jules Vern's Captain Nemo was fashioned after and finds his famous sub.

I really enjoyed this book a lot. Its a great read for any Cussler or just adventure fan.
