Is This A Plane?

This morning I was up at 4:45 to take a shower and get ready for my MRI that I had this morning at 6:00am. Now I’m a person that doesn’t get up till 7:15 everyday to get ready for work, so you can just imagine how tired I am today.

If you haven’t had an MRI before, let tell you what its like. They put you on this board than push you back into a long tube where you can just barely see the light at the end. You face is about 4 inches from the top of the tube and they have air blowing on you like when you turn the air on in an airplane. Actually most of it felt like I was on a plane. Its white plastic inside like a plane, the air sounds and feels the same and it makes many noises that sound like the plane.

I was able to just close my eyes and relax and listen to the music, but you wouldn’t believe how hard that was, I found myself at times breathing really hard and I was trying to stay still. Its just the thought of being in this tight space that makes you breath harder. I have never been claustrophobic, but this was as close as I think I have ever come. My only saving grace was that I could see the light at the end of the tunnel and the tech told me that it would only take 20 mins. So I tried to nap and that calmed me down.

I hear about my results next week and I hope that they find something wrong that can be fixed because I’m tired of dealing with this back. With the NHL getting back on the ice, I to want to join them this year.

Those MRI machines are awful. I had one done last year and I was lucky enough to be able to get an open MRI. But, I still was quite anxious and my heart rate was WAY high. All that banging and pounding noises ::shudder:: Just awful. {{{hugs}}} I hope your results are good!
