You think you are being smart, when you go on vacation and tell your eldest to turn off the computers that are normally on 24×7. I was afraid that there might be a big storm and I didn’t want them to get blown up.
My bad, I spent 3 hours last night trying to figure out why the main one won’t turn on. I have it narrowed down to being either the power supply or the motherboard. Very hard to determine which one it is. The power supply hums and the fans try an turn in the case but that is is, no post or nothing. I’m going to have to pull the harddrive out and pull it into the other PC to get some of the pictures off it that I have stored on there, but I really don’t need this right now. I don’t have the money to buy a new power supply or motherboard. As much as I hope its the power supply, that should be a little cheaper. If its the Mobo then that means I’m going to have to reload the PC and that is not fun, but it is about time that I did it.
