You know, I’ve never been a big sports fan.
It’s not that I don’t enjoy sports, I just never saw the appeal of watching another team play unless it was part of a strategy to defeat them in an upcoming match. Seeing that I don’t participate in professional sports, watching games for strategic purposes is pretty well crossed off the list.
But over the past two years I’ve become more interested in football. I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because my hometown team (which is such a strange concept - as if the team has anything to do with me because I live near where it’s based) has been doing so well. It turns out that friends that I already have enjoy watching pro football, which is another thing that we can now do as an excuse to hang out.
I’ll cheer on my team - who apparenly killed the Bengals in pre-season while I’ve been writing FFAF posts tonight - and we’ll see if we can finally land that Superbowl win this year.
Come FFAF at Asymptomatic!
