The Third Option

by Vince Flynn
The CIA and the President put out a hit on a Count from Germany who is sending parts to Saddam to create nuclear bombs. Something goes wrong with the hit and Mitch Rapp must figure why someone from his team tried to kill him.

This was the 3rd book from this author and the 2nd with Mitch Rapp in it. I love him as a character. This book moved really fast for me and it was exciting to read until I got to the last 30 pages. I don’ t know if it was because I was tired, but the book lost its excitement and then all of a sudden it was done and I felt incomplete. I have since found out that the next book picks up where this one left off, but if I had picked this one up and read it right when it came out, I would have felt royally riped. As it is now I will just get the next one and carry on. It appears that he was writing this great book and found that it was getting really long and he doesn’t like to go over 500 pages, so he added some more fluff and made it two books. I rated this book low, but by no means is it bad, I was just unhappy with the way that it ended. I’m sure when this story ends with the next book I will feel much better about it.
