The Sigma Protocol

by Robert Ludlum
When I read the blurp on the library website, I thought this sounded like a good book to pick up. I was surprised when I got it that it was 17 discs long. And in true Ludlum fashion, it was a long and wordy book. They could have cut some of it out 4 discs or so and it would have still carried the story fine.

Ben Hartman despised is fathers wealth and struck out on his own teaching kids from poverty neighborhoods. It wasn't till the death of his twin brother and finally his mother's request on her death bed that he come back into the company and help out his father. He had a knack for the job and made lots more money for his family. He took a trip to Austria where he was going to meet a client and while there, he remember that his brother had died there years before in a plane crash. He sees an old friend from school and as he walks up to him, he pulls out a gun and tries to kill Ben and this is where the whole story changes and Ben finds who his father really is and how they came to be such a wealthy family, if he can just stay alive long enough to figure it out.

I enjoyed the book though it was long, but it was fast paced for the most part. Well worth the read.
