Remember that Episode of the Brady Bunch where Peter throws the basketball out the bedroom door, down the stairs and right into the vase? “The Don’t Throw The Ball In The House Episode”! Well we had a similar thing in our house last night with a brand new baseball bat. The only difference was it wasn’t a vase it was a kid. #1 one decided to take the bat I had gotten for #2 and try out a swing in the living room. Unbenounced to #3 he came running around the corner at the precious time that #1 was swinging and cracked #3 in the shoulder and the head. We thought he was dead laying there on the floor, but an hour later at #1’s baseball game, he was running around and having fun. He woke up this morning and said that his arm felt fine but it was really purple. So no there will be no swinging bats in the house.

I'm so glad he is ok. We had some friends that had the same type of thing happen with a golf club and unfortunately it didn't turn out very well. So very good rule from now on...
