Did you know the movie was based on Odessa/Permian high school here in Texas, not that far from here, in the 80's? The movie was good...high school football in Texas is like nothing else. My niece is just in shock at our games..they are just like pro games. I don't mean the players are that good, it's all the "hoopla." I was surprised to hear that other states don't do what Texas does.
