Pacific Vortex

Pacific Vortex

This was the first book Clive Cussler wrote about Dirk Pitt, but he didn't have it published till 6 others had been put out there. Of course I didn't find this out till I had read most of them, and I think this one would have held up pretty good as the first one, it was better then Mediterranean Caper.

Dirk is laying on a beach and finds a canister floating in the water. After retrieving it and reading the contents, he finds that its the last words of a sunken sub and takes it to the proper authorities and that just pulls him in to help them find and get the ship back and the adventure starts from there.
